Tundra is a speckled dream - we start with a warm grey and crisp white base, top it with slate, icy blue, and black speckling, and add pops of a sandy clay, gunmetal, and blue-grey to tie it all together.

In physical geography, tundra refers to a type of biome where growth is hindered by frigid temperatures and short growing seasons. We typcially associate the word "tundra" with areas where the subsoil is permafrost (permanently frozen).

This collection was created in collaboration with the amazing Devon @stitches.and.science - it's her beautiful face you see in the flatlay! All of the inspiration photos are from her and her colleague, from their time in Greenland and on Baffin Island during their studies. She has a Ph.D. in geological studies and is currently working in climate policy.

Due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, skeins can differ slightly both between and within dye lots. Alternating skeins is recommended.

While I do my best to both capture and portray accurate colourways, please note that there may be differences due to monitors.

Despite fully exhausting, washing and rinsing all skeins, to remove excess dye, some bleeding may still occur. Hand washing yarn is recommended - in cold water to limit the bleeding - and lay flat to dry.
