Student Slouch Pattern (Tunisian Crochet)

The Student Slouch is a collaborative effort - Amanda @alwhandmade, Roxanne @eat.wander.crochet and I have designed the beanie in all three crafts! So, if tunisian crochet isn’t your thing, please check out the knit and crochet versions on Ravelry.

The tunisian crochet version of the Student Slouch is a made-to-fit beanie, completely customizable so everyone’s can be unique! Choose your circumference, “slouch factor” and even the brim!

You will need:

• 6.5 mm Tunisian Crochet hook (or size needed to obtain gauge)

• DK weight (#3) yarn

  • 8 Colours, ~30y each for small adult size OR sock/suri held double, ~250y each for small adult size, OR single colour DK weight yarn, ~250y for small adult size or two colours DK yarn, ~160y/90y for small adult size

• Scissors

• Yarn needle

• Tape measure

• Blocking mats or a steam blocker

This pattern is beginner friendly. It is made flat, like a tiny version of the thesis wrap itself, and seamed at the end. It is a written pattern, with some photos/visual aids, and links to videos where necessary.
