Patina

Patina

Patina, like its namesake, is a delightfully fun speckled variegate. It begins with a pale grey/white base, topped with varying blue leaning mint and ivy shades. Then we add layers of delicious rusty speckles in shades of orange, toffee, brown, and cinnamon to warm the final product.

Base lineup, top to bottom:
Snowflake Sock
Snowdrift Sport
Deep Freeze DK
Yeti Yak (DK)
Winter Worsted
Bïfrost Bulky

...

Patina refers to a green or brown colouring that develops on the surface of copper, brass, or bronze, acting as a protective layer against corrosion. This can occur naturally over time, with exposure to air, or artificially with the application of chemicals. Patina produces a highly sought-after and valued aesthetic.

Due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, skeins can differ slightly both between and within dye lots. Alternating skeins is recommended.

While I do my best to both capture and portray accurate colourways, please note that there may be differences due to monitors.

Despite fully exhausting, washing and rinsing all skeins, to remove excess dye, some bleeding may still occur. Hand washing yarn is recommended - in cold water to limit the bleeding - and lay flat to dry.

Please note that all yarn is dyed in a pet-friendly household.
