Heading deep into Eastern Europe this month, as we embark on a hunt for Werewolves!

This month's colourway is a moody, almost haunting, grey/blue/black ombre. Shades of silver, blue-grey, charcoal, slate, raven, and a cool black are paired with a bold pop of blood red, to create a micro-striping effect (in smaller projects). This month's tonal complement is Icy Fog, from our T'is The Season Collection.

The Loup-Garou Socks are ready to meet your Halloween knitting needs.
Scary backstory? Check. With werewolves as the inspiration how could it be anything but?
Spooky colorway combination? Double Check.
And then there’s the design. The left and right sock have individual designs, positioning full moons on the outside of your leg, with twinkling stars around the inside and back. The effect of the design plus the colorway? A moody, cloudy, full moon sky.

The sock is knit cuff down, in an easy to knit, repeating stranded colorwork design. With a heel flap and diamond gusset, the arch shaping sets you up for a wonderful fit along your foot. The socks are finished with a wedge toe, which can be substituted for any toe shape you prefer.

Graded to five sizes ranging from children to adults, the pattern has been tested and tech edited. Instructions are both written and charted, and video tutorials are included for Tubular Cast-on, Diamond Gusset, ssk-k1tbl combination, toe shaping and stranded colorwork technique tips.

This listing is for this month's offering on whatever quantity and base you choose. 

You have the choice between individual 100g skeins on a range of bases, or a sock set on either Snowflake Sock or Deep Freeze DK (which includes a 100g skein of the colourway and a 50g skein of the coordinating tonal). 

The "Sock Set with Pattern" option includes the weight of yarn required for the pattern. This means that January-February and September-December will be DK, and March-August will be Snowflake Sock. It ALSO includes the patterns - new (2026) patterns in even months and relaunched patterns (2025) in odd months. 

DUO listings are for a single 100g skein of both the main variegated colourway and the coordinating tonal.
